"We wanted to give the Zimmermann woman's hair a tough edge to a feminine up-style. We created that by using ghd texture lotion, which is a light gel, and combed it through the hair, pulling it back with a wide-toothed comb. Using the ghd IV mini stylers, we waved the girls' hair, reminiscent of an early eighties texture, and twisted it up into a loose chignon.

Step-by-step instructions to get this look with ghd mini hair straightener:

1. Apply ghd maximise mousse liberally through hair and blow dry from roots to ends.
2. In small sections, starting at the nape, spritz ghd ultimate hairspray and wave each section into ribbon-like pieces using the ghd mini styler.
3. Using ghd texture lotion and a wide-toothed comb, pull the hair back into a pony tail.
4. Twist your pony tail and then wrap into a slightly dishevelled chignon. Secure with bobby pins.
