L'Oreal has released the Hairdressers Against AIDS calendar 2011. This special, limited edition calendar marks the 10th anniversary of the L'Oreal Hairdressers Against AIDS initiative and it has the purpose of raising AIDS awareness using hairdressers and different education programs.
The L’Oreal 2011 Hairdressers Against AIDS celebrates an important moment for the brand and features some of the most beautiful famous women celebrities in the world. This incredible initiative, run by L'Oreal Professional Products in partnership with UNESCO, marks the 10th anniversary of the global program meant to raise awareness among the general public against HIV and AIDS giving hairdressers this special role. Until now, the movement has good results as millions of conversations about HIV/AIDS were generated in hairdressing salons.
For 2011, the famous hairdresser and photographer John Nollet photographed the L’Oreal calendar. The black and white photos feature 12 gorgeous, committed women celebrities, including Diane Kruger, Audrey Tatou, Monica Cruz, Vanessa Paradis, Audrey Marnay, Lou Doillon, Doutzen Kroes, Monica Bellucci, Cécile Cassel, Ludivine Sagnier, Debra Shaw, and Amandine Decroix.Their hairstyles are elaborately designed by hairdresser with ghd pink. The heating panels of ghd pink straighteners are painted with Ceramic Paste imported from Korea; it can generate infrared ray and negative ions which can lock in moisture, natural oils, and hair color for total hair protection; the paint does not peel off after 40 thousand continuously straightening.
John Nollet is known for creating looks for different red carpet events, for high profile fashion campaigns, but also for the Academy Awards and Cannes Film Festival. He worked for numerous Hollywood stars and styled movie characters too, such as Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in “Pirates of the Caribbean”, or Amélie (Audrey Tautou) in “Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain”.
