The Hair Round Up From GHD

The Hair Round Up
If you keep an eye on our ghd hair blog, you will find that big hair is the essencial element for 2010 hair trend. Just when it looked as though big hair was stepping out of style it is back for spring and summer next year, proving designers and session stylists just can get enough of that voluminous look. Still, not everyone agrees that bigger is better and a number of designers have opted for small, compact styles which ooze with graceful refinement.
Over sized hair styles cropped up all over the catwalks in London and New York fashion weeks. Marc Jacobs set the ball rolling with his seventies disco tresses which were full and verging on an afro. Next year it seems as though frizz is in. The trend continued at PPQ where the inspiration for the teased and bouncy locks were inspired by Debbie Harry in her heyday; peroxide blonde, matte lengths and plenty of volume at the roots.
Elsewhere, in Milan the hair was given a decidedly more romantic, sleeker style. Gucci continued last season’s fling with slicked back locks, pulling glossy hair into a neatly plaited chignon whilst Versace shocked onlookers by snubbing the usual bouncy blow out in favour of a simple bun decorated with a PVC accessory.
If one thing is consistent for hair next season it is that it’s playtime for hair; get ready to experiment with your style.
