Cleo Magazine`s April 2011 issue has Katy Perry on the cover and is a bumper issue with 25+ pages of Australia`s 50 Most Eligible Bachelors for 2011. It is an iconic annual event for the magazine, shares proud Cleo Editor, Gemma Crisp.
Gemma also shared with me why she chose Katy Perry for the cover: “This is the first time Katy has been on the cover of CLEO – with the success of her Teenage Dream album, her upcoming tour to Australia and the launch of her new fragrance, Purr, Katy is definitely having a moment right now. Plus when I saw this shot of her with the two topless men, I knew straight away it had to be the cover for our annual Bachelor issue!”
And not only is the April issue about male eye candy, we have an exclusive preview of an editorial with Ruby Roses howcasing her second collection with Milk & Honey photographed by Carlotta Moye.
We are used to seeing the glamboyant Ruby Rose with a heavily tattooed arm and a short-bob cut, but in this issue, she outdid herself. Inspired by Peter Lindbergh’s photoshoots with 90s supermodels Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford & Claudia Schiffer, Rose portrays an image of a fierce sex-goddess.
“I was born blonde and had long blonde hair till I was 10. I think I look like [Victoria Secret's model] Elyse Taylor”, laughs Rose. [As told to The Sun-Herald.]
But also this month, Cleo highlight the popular ‘cougar’ trend, saying that women in their late 20s are getting in on the action too. They also take us into the latest trend with Sex Skyping, on how safe it is and how you can protect yourself.
So, what are your thoughts about Katy Perry & Ruby Rose, Cleo April 2011 Issue? Rocking or Shocking? Share your thoughts with ghddiscount.com in comment box below and also don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for more.

2011 Top 50 Cleo Bachelor of the Year Finalists are Revealed
Last post I have shared Exclusive: Katy Perry&Ruby Rose, Cleo April 2011 Issue, This post I will share you more details about the 2011 Top 50 Cleo Bachelor of the Year Finalists at ghd precious blog.
The every-day superhero shines this year, with selected finalists including Olympic swimmer Eamon Sullivan, Bondi Rescue’s Anthony “Harries” Carroll, Kelloggs Nutri-Grain Ironman Caine Eckstein, professional surfer Dion Agius and personal trainer Blake Worrall-Thompson from Lifestyle YOU’s Eat Yourself Sexy. These men are hard-working and enjoy a challenge, whilst looking good.
The Top 50 Finalists for the 2011 Cleo Bachelor of the Year have been revealed with a shift in what us women are looking for, preferring the ‘guy next door’ as opposed to the ‘dangerous womaniser’, someone who cares for the world around him but they’ve still gotta be sexy!
CLEO Editor, Gemma Crisp explains: “Australian women have enough drama in their lives, without adding to it with a womanising, egotistical scandal-magnet – which is why CLEO’s 50 Most Eligible Bachelors for 2011 consist of everyday guys who just happen to be hot, sexy, inspirational and talented … and in some cases, maybe a little bit famous!”
Creative males are up next in the mix of CLEO Bachelors including Don Lane’s son PJ Lane, as well the usual line up of some footy players but it’s good to see they don’t dominate.
Gemma highlights the caring side of this year’s bachelors that will make us swoon even more: “From the Olympic swimmer who couldn’t resist showing off photos of his new puppy at the Bachelor photo shoot and our Wildcard who donated almost $40,000 of underwear to the Queensland flood victims to the Bachelor who works for a company that organises mentorships for indigenous high school kids, Australian women can’t resist a guy who goes out of his way to help others.”
The CLEO Bachelor of the Year Finalists were chosen by a celebrity team of judges, including MTV VJ Erin McNaught, Scarlett Belle’s Tamara Jaber, Australian fashion designer Rachel Gilbert, X-Factor finalist India-Rose Madderom, Australia’s Next Top Model’s Charlotte Dawson, Sydney gossip columnists Elle Halliwell and Joel Christie, sportswoman and model Lauren Eagle, fashion commentator Melissa Hoyer, model and Sydney IT girl Nikki Phillips.
The finalists are published in CLEO’s April issue, on shelves today, with the winner to be announced at the finalist event on 20 April 2011.

ghd Australia announced its involvement with FTBC
As the global hair product brand, GHD is committed to developing the most effective and innovative products for the hair care industry. A long time supporter of the National Breast Cancer Foundation's ghd Pink campaign, ghd Australia has announced its involvement for the first time with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC).
Since August 2, 2010, ghd has been contributing 25 per cent of every sale of a ghd IV styler (RRP $299) that is marked with a FTBC sticker to the campaign, which raises funds for breast cancer research - and specifically researches breast cancer in younger women.
With a longstanding commitment to both the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Australian fashion industry, ghd is following in the footsteps of past supporters including Australian designers and ghd fashion partners sass & bide, Willow and Collette Dinnigan.
In addition to ghd’s financial support, renowned editorial stylist, hair director and recently appointed ghd guest artist Alan White worked on the stunning black and white fashion shoot for this year’s FTBC campaign, styling hair on behalf of ghd.
The campaign was photographed by Troyt Coburn and featured Australians of international fame including model Emma Balfour, actress Rachel Taylor and FTBC ambassadors Zoe Naylor, Anneliese Seubert and Mink Sadowsky.
FTBC Ambassador, Zoe Naylor explained, “I chose to become involved with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer because I thought it could make a tangible difference. Fashion is loved by women of all ages and through the NBCF’s clever campaigns there is an opportunity to raise awareness more accessibly.”
What better way of giving back to such a worthwhile cause than through an area I love, which is fashion!” she added.
25 per cent of every sale of a ghd IV hair straightener (RRP $299) that is marked with a FTBC sticker will be donated to the NBCF from 2nd August 2010 for a limited time at approved ghd salons.
And the new ghd limited edition-GHD Pink is back for 2010. The stunning new GHD Pink limited edition in association with Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Action Breast Cancer.
