The Big Hair Is Back- Beehive Hair

Recently I found a news from Telegraph.co.uk-How to get the perfect beehive. As a modern take on the classic 1960s beehive hair-do sets the catwalks buzzing, Kate Shapland explains how it's done. Now Let's share the beehive hair tips at our cheap ghd blog.

beehive hair

In the early 1960s they used to get the height with some vigorous backcombing and hard-hold setting spray. Now the beehive - showcased on Prada's a/w 10 catwalk with caterpillar brows - is achieved with more care: Guido Paulo, Prada's hairstylist, prepared his 'chic, uptown nod to the 1960s' by wrapping sections of hair, primed with thickening lotion, over a mesh cushion to get the dizzy height. So while the models' hair still got a shellacking of fixative spray to hold it still, it was saved from a knotty backcombing on this occasion. Welcomed by those who had endured the 1950s Poodle Cut, and worn with the most attitude by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's, working a beehive took commitment on a daily basis.

In fact,it was the original Big Hair. Women all over the land got up every morning and reached for a comb to tease it up from the crown into a rooster's comb, then coaxed it back like a deflated balloon and buried it under ghd hairspray until it looked like baked candyfloss. Guido's confection - every bit as rigid and said to have taken its cue from the immaculately groomed girls in the Mad Men typing pool - was barely softened by a ringed plait. But it was a statement that announced the return of Big Hair; and even if it isn't big in a beehive way (with bug brows to go with it), hair that has soft root lift at the crown will be the most fashionable foundation for up-do's and ponytails this season.

GHD teach you to get Leighton Meester's a Little French look

Leighton Meester Hair styles

Here is a girl that just can't do ugly no matter what, and she is proving this by looking ever so fabulous in Paris this time. She is seen here with Selena Gomez filming scenes for the upcoming Nicole Kidman produced film “Monte Carlo” and if this look is indicative of the flick’s sense of style, I have to say I like! You just can’t hate that old Hollywood glamour style that is so reminiscent of the ‘40’s, and Leighton Meester is showing here that she can pull it off, and pull it off well. So today our ghd blog will share you how to create this look. And this look is not an easy one to accomplish, and you want to give yourself some extra time here.

To get this look, use ghd texturizing shampoo and conditioner, and you will want to blow dry with a ghd round bristle brush. Blow dry your hair about 95%, and when it is still slightly damp, you can set your hair with ghd purple hair straightener gift set to create this wonderful volume that Lindsay has here, without the look of curls. The purple ghd has floated different versions of hair stylers to help beauty conscious in achieving their dream appearance. They are designed to make the hair styling experience a great one, with noticeably marvelous results.

Then Let your purple ghd hair straighteners for about 30 minutes, and then blast some heat on them to finish the drying and lock in that volume. When your hair has cooled from this blast, take the hair straighteners out and brush out your hair with your soft ghd bristle brush. The end result? A lovely voluptuous mane with just enough wave and volume to look sexy, but not too much that you are over the top.

Get Jennifer Aniston's Ponytail Looks with ghd pink

Jennifer Aniston is of course hot on the promotional circuit right now, as she promotes her new film “The Switch”. And this is exactly what she was doing here, when she was leaving the Daily Show With Jon Stewart in this gorgeous dress that leaves little to the imagination. Jennifer is immaculately styled, as per usual, and we love that she took a dressy ensemble and paired it with a very elegant and sexy ponytail. Once again we see how the right outfit can make even the most casual of hairstyles look cute as a button. This just goes to show that yes, you can get away with second day hair without drawing too much attention to yourself, even when you are on set and in front of zillions of cameras. If you pull off the right look like Jennifer has here and choose simple pieces that are casual, but with one or two (dress check, killer heels, check) standing out amongst the others, you can get away with the ponytail. Working with second day hair can be just a little tricky as you may be dealing with some grease factor, so you want to run just a smidge of baby powder through your comb before you sleek the hair back. Part your hair on the side with a fine tooth comb, and then comb back the side sections of your hair into a high and tight ponytail. Be sure to use cloth covered elastics to minimize and prevent hair breakage. You can then sweep your bangs to the side like Jennifer has here, or you can simply curl or flatiron them under for a sweet fringed look in the front with our Professional GHD Hair Straighteners. GHD hair can give your hair more care. The Advance Ceramic Heaters technology can generate infrared ray and negative ions which can lock in moisture, natural oils, and hair color for total hair protection; the paint does not peel off after 40 thousand continuously straightening.

For just a hint of extra glam, you can spritz on some glossing serum, but only enough for a little extra shine, not too much or you will enhance that second day hair look.

In future I will collect more hairstyles tips which can create famous stars hairstyles. And if you like, you can create these hairstyles by yourselves with our cheap ghd straighteners. Now our cheap ghd has listed a new styler-GHD Pink Limited Edition .The stunning new GHD Pink limited edition in association with Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Action Breast Cancer.
